Escape is a fantasy. There are a lot of obstacles in between you and freedom. You don’t know how to build a boat, and the violent currents around the island would easily capsize anything you could build. Additionally, the aquatic wildlife around here is quite inhospitable. You could easily fall prey to a WILD HORROR, or worse, a SEADWELLER. If that weren’t enough, despite being a jadeblood, the sun would cause you irreparable harm if you were exposed to it for too long.

Also, you have no idea how you would navigate. You barely even get Alternet out here, and only by the grace of the PLANET-WIDE SATELLITE NETWORK.
